Christmas: More Than Enough......

Did get what I wanted for Christmas?
Yes.

There was enough emotional balance in our home to allow me to leave to help prepare and serve Christmas Eve dinner to the on-duty Minneapolis officers and staff.
There was enough peace in our home for us all to enjoy and participate in the Christmas Eve service at church.  Both Speed and Soar were candle lighters and did a great job!

There was enough personal margin to allow silliness and fun late on Christmas Eve. (That green pea-pod isn't holding a small child....nope it was a VERY large one and I almost wet myself because it was sooooo funny.)

There was enough planning to allow for 'enough' but not too much in the way of gifts.

Enough twinkle lights to make me happy.

Enough friends to share the joy with....

Enough people joined me in reaching out with  Erin toward her fundraising goal for Exodus Road....so maybe this New Year will bring hope to someone who has been trapped within the horrific trap of human trafficking.

Enough.

Enough to play this this small part in the larger plan.

Enough strength to watch as Russia contemplated closing it's doors to adoptive families....and then did...or didn't...Enough patience to keep watch with friends who's hearts are pierced as the little ones they treasure are perhaps uncontrollably separated from them.

Enough faith to pray over families facing adoption disruptions, mental health crisis and scary horrible realities at home.

Enough is my key word through this Advent season.
Enough at every turn.
Enough because of Jesus.

Our mantra the last few years is 'different isn't bad, it's just different'

Glad your season held more than enough

We had enough, too, this year. Enough and not too much. It was wonderful to have enough. Our fifth Christmas as a family and our best Christmas ever.

Beautiful!

So glad that your Christmas was blessed with just "enough".

I think I recognize one of your "friends". So glad she had a family to spend the holiday with, across the country from her own family.

:) :) :)
