Yesterday we cooked up a five pound box of bacon ends and scraps with our scrambled eggs for lunch. I think I won the 'best mom of the week' award when I put three plates heaping with bacon in front of the hoard and said..."Yes - you may eat as much as you want- until it's all gone."
To put it into perspective bacon isn't usually in our budget - we try to make a one pound package stretch for 14 of us - that's roughly one piece per person. I'm not stingy by nature and these moments make my heart smile. When I can show them the overwhelming goodness of God in small things like the opportunity to say "yes - more than you need, more than you expect, more than enough.'
